Wearing them Since '96: Jordan 1 Low SE Tokyo 96
In 1996, Michael Jordan visited Tokyo as part of Nike's Hoops Heroes Tour, and now, 25 years later, Nike commemorates that event with the release of the Jordan 1 Low SE Tokyo 96 in September 2022. These low-top sneakers feature an off-white suede upper, with Dutch-blue accents on the leather forefoot overlays, outsole, and toe cap. The upper and heel are finished in smoke-gray, while the Wings logo and insole are adorned with kumquat-orange embroidery. The sneakers have a worn-in appearance, thanks to aged touches on the midsole and an exposed foam tongue. The low-top design sits atop a traditional rubber cup sole with aged sidewalls and a powder blue rubber outsole. The design is completed with a woven tongue tag displaying the iconic Jumpman branding.
