This version of the women's Retro Jordan 12, called the UNC, pays homage to Michael Jordan's alma mater, the University of North Carolina, with its blue and white colors. It's a mid-top shoe with a white tumbled upper made of leather. This leather section moves up from the heel to the collar, then forward toward the toebox in a pattern of stitched fanning lines. The sole is made mostly of University Blue rubber, and this blue section slinks upward to cover the heel. On the blue part of the heel, the number 23, Jordan's jersey number, is written in white. At the very front of the undersole is a white Jumpman.
