OnePlus One Smartphones

The main reason I picked up a OnePlus One in 2018 is so I can load custom ROMs and Operating Systems on it to play with., , Currently loaded UBports which is a continuation of the Ubuntu phone after Ubuntu dropped it., Fantastic phone, even in 2018. Before loading UBports I managed to get Android 8.1 loaded on it. Ran like a dream, virtually no lag., , Hardware is pretty solid, with 3GBs of RAM I can handle even large websites with multiple scripts running in the background while playing a YouTube video in the background., , I wouldn't recommend this phone to a non-techie person or someone that just wants a phone to work as you do need to load a custom ROM as Cyanogen was changed to Lineage.

I had never heard of this phone before a techno friend started taking about it and showed me his Oneplus One. The first thing I noticed was the clarity of the photos. He was able to zoom in to ridiculous levels and the photos still looked crystal clear. Battery life is good but not great. The gestures are convenient and cool. I haven't tested it to see if it's really waterproof or not but I've seen the YouTube video where the guy holds it under water and it works fine. Absolutely recommend it. As good or better than the top Apple and Samsung for a fraction of the price.

Device came with CyanogenMod 13.1 preinstalled (based on Android 6.0.1). CPU is quick and handles overlays and heavy multitasking with ease. It's been a few years since I've used an Android device (or Lagdroid as I call them), so I was surprise at how far the OS had come in terms of smoothness and responsiveness. It is usable so far in my testing unlike my old Nexus 7 (2012) and older Samsung Galaxy S3/4 devices I have personal experience with., The capacitive keys are a personal preference for me and work well with a good area of touch reception so you don't have to try to be too precise., The haptic response (vibrate) feels balanced as well and is one my pet peeves in low end devices., Overall solid device and definitely a flagship contender for half the price of a normal flagship.

This is my first Android phone! As i've been Always an Apple user!, (Last phone was a Iphone 5S), , I was hesitating between the OnePlus One or iphone 6S plus! I took the decision after lot of researches and reviews about both phones and price difference ...., , IMO. Keep in mind that i Consider the OPO as a High End Smartphone BTW, , I'm not regretting at all my OnePlus One purchase and the switch from Apple., , Last thing, i was confused with which ROM between CyanogenOS, Remix Revolution, Dirty Unicorne, Darkobas, Sultan i should try or stick with! So, i got the OPO with Stock Cyanogen OS 13.1.2 and very satisfied with. So i'll stick with COS 13 stock ROM for a while., , And Happy OPO owner :)

Its a very nice phone to use, its big and powerful. With the latest nightly CM13.1 rom, its the best phone I've ever had. It's a fast phone yet long lasting phone! But, with a couple of issues here and there, the included quick charge 2.0 block isnt supported by the SoC(but with CM13.1 it seems to have a faster charge then a normal power block). The left side of the screen on my phone is messed up, I would slide my finger down the left side and it would click what ever was on that side. But i can live with that., , , Besides thoughts cons, the phone is awesome for me and what I do.
