Easy rooting = great potential for a star performer
If you read other reviews on this phone, you'll probably be convinced to steer clear of it. However, it is relatively easy to root and the files needed to do so are readily available from the popular android guru sights. Additionally there was plenty of documentation in the same sites as far as bloatware that's safe to delete. Additionally many other apps can be moved to an sd card (if installed) freeing up even more space and further reducing the chances of system gridlock.. Gridlock (freezing) is what most people complain about this phone. Lack of ram space is also a factor in reducing battery life between charges so, there's marked improvement there as well. Prior to buying this model, I had a much more expensive phone than this stolen and chose this model because of its low price and rooting potential and honestly, it turned out to be a better phone than it's quite pricey predecessor. For what these phones sell for, if you are interested in experimenting with rooting, this is an excellent choice as you're not taking a big financial risk and the result is a very nice performing phone. Also, sound quality is very good out of the box. Better than most of the phones I've had.
