Seiko 5 Watches

You have to look far and wide to find a better automatic movement watch for around $100.00 The Seiko 5 has been around since the 1960's and is no resurrected as a brand new fully automatic movement watch. It may be assembled elsewhere than Japan but the quality is first rate and the watch is a thing of beauty. For some reason Seiko decided to add a rather basic linked stainless band that over time feels fine but when new certainly needs a break-in period to feel comfortable. Not to worry, since this is a dress watch most men will opt to change out the metal band for a quality leather band, as I did. The feel is now great and I have a wonderful piece of history in a newly made package. Everything is brand new inside, this is not an old tired Seiko 5, although most still run well today. If you spend anytime looking for a Seiko 5 with dauphine hands you know there are not many out there usually these were put on the more expensive versions such as the Actus and going all the way up to the Seiko Grand. Don't even hesitate to pick up one of these beauties, you will not be disappointed.

Has Seiko 5 watches for over 40 years. They are both stylish and rugged. I prefer the automatic which winds itself with movement---no battery needed. My first 2 ones I had serviced/cleaned by authorized repair shop and they lasted >10 years. Now is's hard to find a service/repair shop. After some years they tend to slow down a little (1-5 minutes/day) and need servicing, which has become expensive; so, for an extra $ 20-30 I bought a new one.

Cool watch face, dauphin hands and good lume The strap is a wee bit jangley with pressed links but for the overall cost is fine. I really like the face of this watch. It's sleek and well defined with pointy hands and appendices.Another note is the duo finishes - the smooth finish of the bezel to the a brushed finish of the case. It creates a smooth transition when viewing the face to case. Overall, I'm very satisfied with this low range watch and Seiko is a brand to watch.

Lasership and Great values Items. I ordered last week. Today I get my New automatic watch. my wrist is 16.5cm remove 3 piece bracelet. Blue sunray dial and bezel is bright. glass is domed glass. I purchased this watch because I like the dial and the size. It has a real clean, no nonsense, classic appearance. I didn't like the looks of the original band. I saw another band online at Watch-gecko in the U.K. so I purchased a leather band. I think it looks better much better than the existing band.

#1 i love the watch beautiful band ? CHANGED IT to gorgeous mesh band time keeping not so good 1and 1/2 to 3 minutes in 8 hours a day i would like to have the solution it,s not going back

The watch is really good for that price. It is simple but very accuracy. There is 7s26 movement, which is very reliable. The bracelet is cheap, but it's not a problem for me, because i replaced it with nato strap.

wanted a tag, but this watch is similar to the tags i looked at, and is a automatic movement to, awesome watch.

If you do t own one of these you should. Yes it fits all wrists comfortably. If not, grab a nato strap.
